Responsibilities For In Vehicle Validation Engineer, Chassis Controls

  • Execute in vehicle test cases
  • Create test cases and procedures
  • Document objective and subjective vehicle behavior feedback
  • Develop software understanding to efficiently translate changes to test requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers on software and hardware changes, solutions, and requirements
  • Seasonal travel to proving grounds around the world (30%)
  • Coordinate with truck logistics and proving ground logistics
  • Be proficient in software development workflows

Requirements For In Vehicle Validation Engineer, Chassis Controls

Python
  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with auto cross, racing and/or at limit driving
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work against high-level goals without day-to-day oversight
  • Software scripting experience (Python or similar) preferred
  • Proving Ground certification preferred
  • CAN tools, data logging and/or electronic diagnostic equipment experience preferred
  • Prior experience with in vehicle testing in semitrucks preferred
