Responsibilities For Internship, Abuse Testing & Engineering, Cell Engineering (Summer 2025)

  • Conduct destructive testing of batteries at pack, module and cell level
  • Apply electrical, mechanical, and thermal stresses to battery systems
  • Provide rapid feedback to inform designs early in development
  • Perform abuse testing for Tesla battery products
  • Work on stress testing electrical components
  • Analyze and characterize failure modes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Requirements For Internship, Abuse Testing & Engineering, Cell Engineering (Summer 2025)

Python
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Strong understanding of heat transfer, combustion and electrical
  • Experience with materials characterization
  • Experience with CAD (Catia V5, V6 or Solidworks)
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages
  • Experience with electrical systems (PCB's, resistors, voltage)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods for prototyping
  • Must be hands-on with assembly, fabrication, instrumentation, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries preferred
