Tesla, the world's leading electric vehicle and sustainable energy company, is offering an exciting internship opportunity in Vehicle & Powertrain Engineering for Summer 2025. This role, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, provides an exceptional chance to work on cutting-edge automotive technology and engineering solutions.

As an Analysis Engineering intern, you'll be immersed in projects that directly impact Tesla's current and future products. You'll work with state-of-the-art CAE simulation tools to analyze and improve vehicle structure, crash safety, durability, and battery safety performance. Responsibilities For Internship, Analysis Engineer, Vehicle & Powertrain Engineering (Summer 2025)

  • Use CAE (FEA/CFD) simulation tools to develop vehicle structure, crash safety, durability, fatigue, and battery safety performance
  • Develop new methods to improve simulation tools
  • Work with Design Engineering teams to analyze future designs performance
  • Work with Test Engineering teams to develop tests and correlate simulation models
  • Build models calibrated by test data
  • Analyze test data and create clear data forward reports
  • Participate in discussions with component designers to provide feedback on thermal/hydraulic/electrical performance

Requirements For Internship, Analysis Engineer, Vehicle & Powertrain Engineering (Summer 2025)

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Completion of statics, dynamics, and materials science undergraduate courses
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Interest in analytical and numerical techniques
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Experience with analysis software preferred
  • Scripting experience preferred
