Tesla's Chassis Systems Software team is seeking a Software Validation Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse team of software engineers, mechatronics engineers, and vehicle dynamics engineers on safety-critical systems.
The position involves working on challenging problems spanning safety-critical software, embedded systems, motor controls, electronics actuation, and vehicle dynamics. As an intern, you'll be responsible for creating and developing automated validation infrastructure, executing regression test suites, and building tools for algorithm development and physics-based simulations.
The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering, with strong programming skills in Python or C. Knowledge of Rust and experience with automation tools like Jenkins and Docker are considered advantages. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and a passion for finding and fixing complex software issues.
