Tesla is seeking a High Voltage Battery Management Systems Integration Engineer Intern for Summer 2025. This role is perfect for engineering students passionate about electric vehicles and battery systems. You'll work with Tesla's Battery Management Systems team, responsible for controllers and firmware that monitor and optimize battery performance, power delivery, and safety.

Responsibilities For Internship, High Voltage Battery Management Systems Integration Engineer, Vehicle Firmware (Summer 2025)
- Work with design and development engineers to ensure subsystems meet vehicle functions requirements
- Break down feature requests into sub-system requirements and drive implementation
- Develop validation strategies and work with validation teams
- Work cross-functionally across mechanical, electrical, system architecture teams
- Develop and execute firmware integration test plans
- Debug issues at the system level and propose solutions
- Work with manufacturing and service teams
- Develop prototype test setups for new subsystems
Requirements For Internship, High Voltage Battery Management Systems Integration Engineer, Vehicle Firmware (Summer 2025)
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field with graduation date between August 2025 – May 2026
- Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems involving networked microprocessors
- Experience with C or C++ required, Python is a plus
- Thorough understanding of mechanical fundamentals
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Experience with CAN and Ethernet networking is a plus
- Experience with FMEA and HARA is a plus
