Description For Internship, High Voltage Systems Embedded Software Engineer, Vehicle Firmware (Summer 2025)

Tesla's High Voltage System (HVS) Team is seeking an Embedded Systems Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electric vehicle technology. As part of the team, you'll work on critical software components that power Tesla's vehicles, focusing on safety, reliability, and optimal user experience. The position involves developing low-level firmware drivers, implementing real-time software algorithms, and building validation infrastructure for the battery management system, power conversion system, and charging protocols.

The internship provides hands-on experience with embedded systems in the automotive industry, working alongside experienced engineers in Tesla's Palo Alto facility. You'll be involved in various aspects of software development, from driver implementation to system validation, gaining valuable experience in both theoretical and practical aspects of embedded systems engineering.

The role requires strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python, combined with knowledge of embedded systems and hardware interfaces. You'll have the opportunity to work on large-scale projects that directly impact Tesla's vehicle performance and user experience.   • Design and implement real-time software algorithms for high voltage system features
