  • Design and deploy specialized development equipment for vehicle battery products
  • Work on cross-functional teams with PM, Controls, manufacturing, and technicians
  • Prepare 3D CAD models and detailed drawings
  • Support mechanical builds and production machinery
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines
  • Develop Li-ion cell components and systems
  • Conduct basic analyses (FEA, Excel, MATLAB, scripting)
  • Manage mechanical BOMs
  • Drive research and experiments for cell design principles

Requirements For Internship, Mechanical Engineer, Cell Engineering (Winter/Spring 2025)

Python
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred, CATIA, AutoCAD, 3DX)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Machining & Fabrication Experience
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience in Matlab, Python, CFD Packages, Structural FEA packages
  • Experience in electromechanical design and analysis
  • Familiarity with technical standards (ANSI, NFPA, LOTO, OSHA)
  • Basic knowledge of Lithium-ion battery cell and battery design
  • Strong technical communication skills
