Tesla is seeking a Prototype Integration Engineer intern to join their Vehicle Software team for Summer 2025. Responsibilities For Internship, Prototype Integration Engineer, Vehicle Software (Summer 2025)
- Own the introduction and automation of new car computer hardware for engineering
- Meet bring-up deadlines of never-before-seen products
- Update existing automation software systems to support new hardware
- Create and own new software systems to provide Tesla teams with working products
- Support development and validation of factory critical software systems
- Oversee the Tesla car computer prototype lab to streamline builds and bring-up
- Develop relationships with SW/HW engineers, technicians and PMs to understand their needs
Requirements For Internship, Prototype Integration Engineer, Vehicle Software (Summer 2025)
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Experience with bash/shell and Linux
- Experience adding to an existing codebase with formal programming language
- Basic knowledge of git and using it with an existing codebase
- Low-level programing experience to interact with hardware
- Strong communication skills
- Electrical debugging skills (using oscilloscope and multimeter)
- Computer networking experience via ethernet or other protocols
