Internship, Security Program Manager, Life Safety Communications (Winter/Spring 2025)

Tesla's Security Engineering team is seeking an intern for the Winter/Spring 2025 term to work on life safety critical infrastructure across corporate, manufacturing, and production environments. The role focuses on designing and implementing systems in new sites, ensuring survivability and resiliency, driving feature sets forward, and collaborating with construction teams, the broader business, and vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing design coordination activities into engineering design packages
• Defining scope of work for radio system installations
• Coordinating with external vendors and internal Tesla teams
• Participating in technical planning, cost and risk analyses, supportability, and reliability
• Analyzing customer requirements and defining system requirements
• Executing evaluations of systems, networks, and information systems
• Potential global travel for assessments and progress checks

The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field, with a graduation date in 2025. Strong project management and communication skills are essential. Experience with ham or amateur radio is highly valued, and networking experience is beneficial. PMP or related certification is a plus.
