Description For Internship, Software Engineer, AI Simulation (Winter/Spring 2025)

Tesla's Autopilot Simulation team is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join their mission-critical Full Self-Driving (FSD) initiative. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on Tesla's autonomous driving technology, focusing on simulation tools that enable virtual testing and validation of FSD software. As part of the internship program, you'll be immersed in projects that are essential to the team's success, working directly with experienced engineers in Tesla's Palo Alto office.

The position involves developing sophisticated simulation models and tools that help accelerate Autopilot's development through virtual testing and synthetic data generation for neural network training. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology in autonomous driving, contributing to a platform that helps make self-driving cars a reality. The role requires strong programming skills in C++ and Python, along with a solid foundation in mathematics and simulation techniques.

This is a full-time, on-site internship starting in January/February 2025, with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and various other perks. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science or related fields who are passionate about autonomous driving technology and want to make a meaningful impact in the automotive industry's future.
