Tesla is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer in their Silicon Development team. This position, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, provides an immersive experience in one of the world's leading electric vehicle and sustainable energy companies.

The role combines hands-on engineering experience with theoretical knowledge, focusing on mechanical and thermal design for Tesla's silicon development initiatives. As an intern, you'll be working full-time (40 hours/week) for a minimum of 12 weeks, starting around January 2025.   • Develop designs in CAD for mechanical and thermal designs
  • Perform tolerance analysis, finite element analysis and simulations
  • Run thermal and mechanical validation tests and perform data analysis
  • Provide support to manufacturing lines and test engineers
  • Create clear documentation and presentations to communicate concepts, designs, and findings

  • Currently pursing a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or thermals-related field
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics
