Responsibilities For Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Automated Test Equipment, Manufacturing Test Engineering

  • Architect automated test equipment, produce detailed-level CAD models, pneumatic diagrams, and verify designs
  • Lead conceptual equipment development and balance product specifications
  • Review and provide feedback on performance, design simplicity, robustness, assembly, and installation
  • Analyze system constraints and propose innovative solutions
  • Support building, debugging, validation and equipment duplication efforts
  • Perform on-site and off-site acceptance testing (SAT/FAT) of test equipment
  • Mentor junior mechanical engineers

Requirements For Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Automated Test Equipment, Manufacturing Test Engineering

  • 8+ years of experience as Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automation Engineer
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production
  • Knowledge in solid mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, dynamics, material selection
  • Experience with test systems, production machinery, industrial sensors
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and Ansys, or similar CAD/CAE software
  • Experience in preparing technical requirements and specifications
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
