Responsibilities For Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Automated Test Equipment, Manufacturing Test Engineering
- Architect automated test equipment, produce detailed-level CAD models, pneumatic diagrams, and verify designs
- Lead conceptual equipment development and balance product specifications
- Review and provide feedback on performance, design simplicity, robustness, assembly, and installation
- Analyze system constraints and propose innovative solutions
- Support building, debugging, validation and equipment duplication efforts
- Perform on-site and off-site acceptance testing of test equipment
- Mentor junior mechanical engineers
Requirements For Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Automated Test Equipment, Manufacturing Test Engineering
- 8+ years of experience as Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automation Engineer
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production
- Knowledge in solid mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, dynamics, material selection
- Experience with test systems, production machinery, industrial sensors
- Strong teamwork skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and Ansys, or similar CAD/CAE software
- Experience in preparing technical requirements and specifications
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
