Tesla is seeking a Low Voltage Engineering Technician to join their Electronic Systems team in Palo Alto. Responsibilities For Low Voltage Engineering Technician
- Work with engineers to install low voltage (12v) electronics and infotainment
- Trial components in vehicles via soldering and wiring
- Root cause and report issues from tests and inspections
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve mechanical & electrical issues
- Provide detailed written & verbal test status updates
- Support engineering teams in instrumentation and data acquisition setup and logging
Requirements For Low Voltage Engineering Technician
- Experience as an Engineering Technician or 3+ years as a Service or Manufacturing technician
- Solid understanding of Audio/Stereo or Low Voltage systems installation
- 2 year technical/automotive degree preferred
- Familiar with soldering iron/tweezers, hot air, hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of machine shop practices
- Analytical problem solving skills & root cause analysis
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with MS office tools
- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends when required
