Responsibilities For Lubrication CAE Engineer, Drive Systems

  • Gearbox lubrication CAE and analytical modeling for efficiency optimization
  • Detailed gearbox oiling simulation
  • Thermal profile determination of the gearbox components
  • Oil level dynamic change analysis in various operating conditions
  • Decide passive or active lubrication options
  • Explore detailed gear mesh lubrication and bearing oil flow simulation
  • Evaluate air-lubricant interaction
  • Coordinate with prototype test to validate the CAE modeling
  • Assist with lubrication team for lubrication improvement and lubricant development

Requirements For Lubrication CAE Engineer, Drive Systems

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experienced with finite volume method CFD simulation, smoothed-particle hydrodynamics (SPH) simulation
  • Experienced with multiphase CFD model creation, simulation strategy selection, post-processing and data analysis
  • Experienced with Ansys, Altair or GT-Suite or PreonLab
  • Experience with creating and executing design validation plan
  • Working knowledge of gearbox lubrication strategy selection
  • Working knowledge of gearbox/motor design and thermal management
