Description For Machine Learning Compiler Engineer, Self-Driving Hardware

Tesla is seeking a Machine Learning Compiler Engineer to join their Self-Driving Hardware team. This role focuses on enabling Tesla's neural networks on their upcoming in-house custom Machine Learning Silicon. You'll be part of a small, experienced team working on automating the compilation of PyTorch-derived neural network graphs for Tesla's custom FSD computer. The position requires expertise in compiler development, with responsibilities including hardware silicon support, architecture improvement, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in Python and C++, understanding of GPU architecture, and compiler development experience.   • Collaborate with design team to understand architecture and propose improvements
  • Develop algorithms to improve performance while decreasing power

Requirements For Machine Learning Compiler Engineer, Self-Driving Hardware

Python
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Prior industry or research experience in compiler development
  • Comfortable with Python and C++
  • Good understanding of GPU architecture and AI accelerators
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
