Tesla is seeking a Mechanical Design Analysis Engineer to join their innovative team in Fremont, California. Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Analysis Engineer
- Dimensional CAE simulation using dedicated dimensional variation analysis software
- Analyze and communicate dimensional requirements within engineering teams
- Work with global manufacturing and supplier base
- Mechanical design of vehicle systems from seats to battery packs and autopilot hardware
- Cross-functional interaction with Styling, Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality teams
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) expertise
Requirements For Mechanical Design Analysis Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years' experience in Computer Aided Engineering, dimensional engineering, metrology, or CAE role
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Catia or similar CAD system experience
- Comfortable with multi-variable capability analysis and statistical testing
- Proficiency in 1D and 3D dimensional variation root cause analysis preferred
- Familiarity GD&T and ASME Y14.5 preferred
