Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Dimensional Analysis

  • Perform dimensional CAE simulation using dedicated dimensional variation analysis software
  • Analyze and communicate dimensional requirements within engineering teams and global manufacturing
  • Work on mechanical design of vehicle systems from seats to battery packs and autopilot hardware
  • Participate in design programs from early concept to production ramp-up
  • Interact with cross-functional teams including Styling, Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality

Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Dimensional Analysis

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years' experience in Computer Aided Engineering, dimensional engineering, metrology, or CAE role
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and robust first-principals approach
  • Catia or similar CAD system experience
  • Comfortable with multi-variable capability analysis and statistical testing
  • Proficiency in 1D and 3D dimensional variation root cause analysis preferred
  • Familiarity GD&T and ASME Y14.5 preferred
