As a Mechanical Design Engineer in Dimensional Analysis, you'll be involved in critical aspects of vehicle development, utilizing CAE simulation tools and working with cross-functional teams. The role offers exposure to full vehicle systems and complete design cycles, from concept to production. Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Dimensional Analysis
- Perform dimensional CAE simulation using dedicated dimensional variation analysis software
- Analyze and communicate dimensional requirements within engineering teams and global manufacturing
- Work on mechanical design of vehicle systems from seats to battery packs and autopilot hardware
- Participate in design programs from early concept to production ramp-up
- Interact with cross-functional teams including Styling, Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality
Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Dimensional Analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years' experience in Computer Aided Engineering, dimensional engineering, metrology, or CAE role
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and robust first-principals approach
- Catia or similar CAD system experience
- Comfortable with multi-variable capability analysis and statistical testing
- Proficiency in 1D and 3D dimensional variation root cause analysis preferred
- Familiarity GD&T and ASME Y14.5 preferred
