  • Mechanical designs from concept to production including prototyping, testing and validation
  • Participate in the development of system mechanical architecture
  • Investigate new technologies and manufacturing methods
  • Perform 3D modeling of components and assemblies
  • Drive design development on wire harnesses and lead electrical/physical integration
  • Design to reduce mass and volume/space and optimize wire bundle routing
  • Work with Suppliers for Design-for-Manufacturability
  • Support prototype builds with quick-turn parts
  • Work with Reliability team for proper testing

Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Electrical Distribution, Semi

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of proven Mechanical Engineering excellence
  • Design-for-Manufacturability, including Automation
  • Experience launching electrical/mechanical products from concept to manufacturing
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing processes
  • Occasional travel is expected
