Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Electrical Distribution, Semi
- Mechanical designs from concept to production including prototyping, testing and validation
- Participate in the development of system mechanical architecture
- Investigate new technologies and manufacturing methods
- Perform 3D modeling of components and assemblies
- Drive design development on wire harnesses and lead electrical/physical integration
- Design to reduce mass and volume/space and optimize wire bundle routing
- Work with Suppliers for Design-for-Manufacturability
- Support prototype builds with quick-turn parts
- Work with Reliability team for proper testing
Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Electrical Distribution, Semi
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of proven Mechanical Engineering excellence
- Design-for-Manufacturability, including Automation
- Experience launching electrical/mechanical products from concept to manufacturing
- Experience in high volume manufacturing processes
- Ability to travel occasionally
