Tesla is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Interior Engineering team to join their Vehicle Engineering division. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $92,720 to $206,520 annually, plus additional cash and stock awards. Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Interiors
- Engineer, develop and execute world-class interior systems
- Work through the entire product cycle with critical input early in development
- Participate in the iterative process with all stakeholders
- Implement processes and material selections for automotive interior craftsmanship
- Complete and release interior components, sub-system, and detail designs
- Utilize DFSS methodologies during design, validation and launch
- Collaborate with key interior system and plastic component suppliers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Tesla
Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Interiors
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Two years of experience in Product Development / Design Engineering
- First principles, physics-based thinker, and problem solver
- Understanding of latest design technologies used in Product Engineering
- Experience with complex assemblies, engineering principles in design, prototyping and production
