Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Vehicle Cameras

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements for FSD functional performance
  • Perform tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Camera modeling in ANSYS SPEOS
  • Develop designs in CAD for detailed parts and master model assemblies
  • Create 2D drawings for high-volume production and inspection methods
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with suppliers
  • Run validation tests and perform data analysis
  • Coordinate offsite testing for system characterization & technology development
  • Provide production support to identify and resolve issues

Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Vehicle Cameras

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge in sensor integration for vehicles
  • Knowledge of design of plastic injection molded, sheet metal stamping and cast parts
  • Proficient in CAD, CATIA preferred
  • Experience in drafting 2D drawings with GD&T
  • Experience with FEA, ANSYS preferred
  • Camera and lighting simulation experience in SPEOS or equivalent
