Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Vehicle Cameras
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements for FSD functional performance
- Perform tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Camera modeling in ANSYS SPEOS
- Develop designs in CAD for detailed parts and master model assemblies
- Create 2D drawings for high-volume production and inspection methods
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with suppliers
- Run validation tests and perform data analysis
- Coordinate offsite testing for system characterization & technology development
- Provide production support to identify and resolve issues
Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Vehicle Cameras
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge in sensor integration for vehicles
- Knowledge of design of plastic injection molded, sheet metal stamping and cast parts
- Proficient in CAD, CATIA preferred
- Experience in drafting 2D drawings with GD&T
- Experience with FEA, ANSYS preferred
- Camera and lighting simulation experience in SPEOS or equivalent
