Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer, Infrastructure Design

  • Develop standard basis of design for Mechanical infrastructure
  • Work with local utility companies for upgrades
  • Drive prototype design and standardization of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Manage 3rd party engineering consultants
  • Design and draft mechanical engineering deliverables as Engineer of Record
  • System ownership for HVAC, heat exchangers, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
  • Develop conceptual designs and identify technical/financial risks
  • Participate in on-field construction and commissioning activities
  • Train and mentor designers to expand mechanical knowledge

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer, Infrastructure Design

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in HVAC and Plumbing design
  • Expert ability to work with utility companies
  • Expert knowledge of REVIT MEP and proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Licensed Engineer in CA, TX, NV, FL, and/or NY
  • Well versed in International Mechanical Code
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Availability to travel as necessary
