Description For NPI Engineering Technician, Cell Manufacturing

Tesla is seeking a dedicated NPI Engineering Technician for their Cell Manufacturing division in Austin, Texas. This role is crucial for introducing new parts and processes to the GFTX Cell Manufacturing lines, specifically focusing on the Tesla 4680 ramp. Responsibilities For NPI Engineering Technician, Cell Manufacturing

  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes by collaborating with engineering, quality and operations
  • Prepare and test prototype parts and qualification cells
  • Execute high volume manufacturing trials
  • Collect, prep, and ship parts for specialized offsite testing
  • Train production teams and define standard work instructions
  • Manage and maintain 5S for NPI work areas and trial part inventory

Requirements For NPI Engineering Technician, Cell Manufacturing

Python
  • 3+ years of hands-on technical experience
  • Manufacturing experience in high volume production
  • Highly independent and able to solve technical problems
  • Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical instructions
  • Fluent in Excel and MS office applications
  • Command of the English language, both written and verbal
