Responsibilities For Power Systems Engineer, Modeling
- Maintain power system models and align them with product roadmap planning
- Perform power system model validation and regression testing across different simulation platforms
- Resolve platform specific modeling issues for power system models
- Work with firmware/software teams in developing and prototype testing new control designs
- Work with product design team to feed power systems requirements into product specifications
- Articulate power systems analyses/results and technology interaction with the grid to internal teams
- Work with customers and business development team to create models and perform testing for new applications
Requirements For Power Systems Engineer, Modeling
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems and control focus or equivalent experience
- Experience with modelling and simulations of inverter-based generation
- Expert in power system dynamic stability and controls
- Strong working knowledge of control theory, digital control, stability, eigenvalue analysis
- Knowledge of power system modelling tools: PSCAD, PSS\E, PSLF, DIgSILENT Power factory
- Experience with C, Python and MATLAB scripts
