Responsibilities For Power Systems Engineer, Modeling

  • Maintain power system models and align them with product roadmap planning
  • Perform power system model validation and regression testing across different simulation platforms
  • Resolve platform specific modeling issues for power system models
  • Work with firmware/software teams in developing and prototype testing new control designs
  • Work with product design team to feed power systems requirements into product specifications
  • Articulate power systems analyses/results and technology interaction with the grid to internal teams
  • Work with customers and business development team to create models and perform testing for new applications

Requirements For Power Systems Engineer, Modeling

Python
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems and control focus or equivalent experience
  • Experience with modelling and simulations of inverter-based generation
  • Expert in power system dynamic stability and controls
  • Strong working knowledge of control theory, digital control, stability, eigenvalue analysis
  • Knowledge of power system modelling tools: PSCAD, PSS\E, PSLF, DIgSILENT Power factory
  • Experience with C, Python and MATLAB scripts
