Tesla's Security Engineering (SecEng) team is seeking a Project Manager to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion systems across all Tesla facilities. This role, reporting to the North America Security Engineering Program Manager, will manage multiple high-priority projects across the US, Canada, and Mexico. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with 3+ years of experience in physical security project management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing security system designs, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring project completion within strict deadlines. They will work with various tools including Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Aconex for as-built verification and project management. The role demands someone who can work independently, show initiative, and maintain strong communication skills while managing complex projects with tight timelines.

Responsibilities For Project Manager, Security Systems
- Implementing design coordination activities into engineering design packages
- Defining scope of work for installations of security systems including ACS, VSS, and IDS
- Coordinating and managing external vendors and internal Tesla teams
- Developing communications and workflows for Security Installation status
- Performing as-built verification using Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Aconex
- Creating process improvements for Coordination, Short Interval Planning, 4D Analysis
- Working in a fast-paced, high-volume workload environment
Requirements For Project Manager, Security Systems
- Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent industry experience
- Physical Security Certification (PSP) or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing physical security projects
- Experience with Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, and Access Control systems
- Experience with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs
- Strong customer service orientation
