Tesla's Security Engineering (SecEng) team is seeking a Project Manager specializing in Physical Security to lead critical security system implementations across North America. This role, reporting to the NORAM Security Engineering Program Manager, involves overseeing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems across Tesla's diverse facilities.

The position demands a highly motivated professional who can manage multiple complex projects simultaneously across the US, Canada, and Mexico. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing security systems, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and meeting strict deadlines. The role requires someone who can work independently while maintaining high standards of integrity and urgency.

As a SecEng Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of Tesla's rapid expansion, ensuring all facilities maintain robust security infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong project management skills, physical security expertise, and at least 3 years of hands-on experience. The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $108,000 to $162,000 annually, plus additional cash and stock awards. Responsibilities For Project Manager, Security Systems

  • Implementing design coordination activities into engineering design packages
  • Defining scope of work for installations of security systems including ACS, VSS, and IDS
  • Coordinating and managing external vendors and internal Tesla teams
  • Developing communications and workflows for Security Installation status
  • Responsible for as-built verification using Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Aconex
  • Work with various teams to create process improvements
  • Managing high-volume workload in fast-paced environment

Requirements For Project Manager, Security Systems

  • Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent industry experience
  • Physical Security Certification (PSP) or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years experience managing physical security projects
  • Experience with Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, and Access Control systems
  • Experience with construction and cost control
  • Strong customer service orientation
