Responsibilities For Reliability Engineer, Interiors & Seats

  • Apply reliability methods and material properties knowledge to design accelerated test plans
  • Analyze field usage and environmental conditions
  • Facilitate and lead design FMEA sessions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes
  • Generate process validation test plans
  • Provide reliability design guidelines
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand emerging designs

Requirements For Reliability Engineer, Interiors & Seats

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in reliability engineering or mechanical systems related to automotive applications
  • Knowledge of material properties and failure/degradation mechanisms for polymers, fabrics, foams
  • Knowledge of plastic part design and manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of Highly Accelerated testing methods
  • Experience with reliability guidelines and novel testing methods
  • Knowledge of reliability statistics and statistical software
  • Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques
  • Self-driven with ability to manage parallel tasks
  • Ability to remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances
