Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Security Engineer for their Red Team to enhance the security of their vehicle software ecosystem, including Models S, 3, X, Y, and Cyber Truck. This role focuses on penetration testing and security assessments of Tesla's connected car infrastructure and critical systems. As a Red Team Engineer, you'll conduct attacks and security assessments on various platforms, from network infrastructure to embedded devices. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $88,000 to $318,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in penetration testing, secure architecture design, and various programming languages. Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Red Team, Vehicle Software
- Breaking everything you touch and helping fix it
- Conducting penetration tests against Tesla networks and services
- Performing security assessments on third-party services and software
- Collaborating with Engineers to develop secure services
- Auditing source code for security vulnerabilities
- Develop/implement automated systems to help spot known security exposures
Requirements For Security Engineer, Red Team, Vehicle Software
- Experience with secure architecture design
- Excellent communication skills
- Security experience in one or more of: C, C++, PHP, Go, x86, ARM, CAN, cryptography, reverse engineering, wireless networks, common web vulnerabilities
- Strong penetration testing experience
- Experience auditing code and features
