Tesla is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to join their team, focusing on programming and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of security industry experience, strong networking knowledge, and familiarity with specific security platforms like Genetec Ominicast and Gallagher Access Technician.

Responsibilities For Security Systems Engineer, Programming & Commissioning

  • Support Security Engineering's Southern region in delivery of new build and service projects
  • Programming and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Compile, develop and maintain system configuration reports and technical documentation
  • Provide feedback and assist in process improvement
  • Participate in on-call rotation, providing remote technical support and troubleshooting

Requirements For Security Systems Engineer, Programming & Commissioning

Linux
  • Degree in Information Technology or related field or installation field experience
  • 3+ years of security industry experience
  • Strong background in networking including IP addressing, subnetting, network topologies, routing protocols
  • Experience with Genetec Ominicast & Gallagher Access Technician, Plan Grid or Autodesk construction cloud
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles including AC/DC circuits, relay logic & PLC's
  • Experience in configuring networks and enterprise system architecture
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
