Description For Software Engineering Technical Lead, Fleetnet

Tesla's Vehicle Software group is seeking a Technical Lead for their Fleetnet team to build next-generation server-side infrastructure supporting Tesla's growing fleet of products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge IoT and navigation services that will power Tesla's future autonomous vehicles and robotaxi fleet.

As a Technical Lead, you'll join a small team of experts pushing the boundaries of innovation and developing new business lines. You'll be responsible for advancing the roadmap and execution of core systems in the vehicle portfolio, leading engineers while maintaining hands-on technical contributions. The platform you'll help build will be crucial for enabling autonomous navigation for millions of Tesla devices.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in distributed systems, web services, and modern development frameworks, particularly Golang. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across Product, SRE, and Infrastructure to drive roadmaps to completion while ensuring technical excellence throughout the organization.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $168,000 to $300,000 annually, plus cash and stock awards.   • Extensive background in web services and distributed systems development
  • Experience leading engineering teams
  • Expertise in modern web developments frameworks, preferably Golang
  • Demonstrated success with scalable web applications or messaging systems
  • Experience with web security
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related fields
