Tesla's Crash Safety Software team is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to lead the development of safety and restraint systems for all Tesla vehicles. Responsibilities For Software Integration Engineer, Crash Safety

  • Work with design and development engineers to ensure crash safety restraint system meets safety-critical operation requirements
  • Write vehicle level embedded firmware in C for core embedded functionality
  • Develop and execute software integration test plans
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, software teams
  • Lead functional safety analysis of complex software systems
  • Develop safety concepts, lead HARA, DFMEAs
  • Interface with homologation team for production certifications

Requirements For Software Integration Engineer, Crash Safety

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with systems involving multiple networked microprocessors, sensors and actuators
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with analyzing data
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics
  • Experience with safety critical systems (preferred)
