Responsibilities For Software Validation Engineer, Chassis & Drive Systems

  • Work with system architects, hardware designers and software developers to maintain expert understanding of chassis and drive systems
  • Develop and execute comprehensive system and sub-system level test specifications and test plans
  • Invent methods and build tools to execute tests and evaluate results
  • Develop prototype test setups to integrate new subsystems
  • Investigate field issues through data analysis and issue reproduction
  • Debug issues and propose robust solutions
  • Improve safety, performance and customer satisfaction with Tesla products

Requirements For Software Validation Engineer, Chassis & Drive Systems

Python
  • Degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems
  • Experience with vehicle chassis control and torque production systems
  • Experience with vehicle testing, racing and/or at-limit driving
  • Experience with CAN and Vector tools
  • Experience analyzing and parsing data
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages
