Responsibilities For Software Validation Engineer, Chassis & Drive Systems
- Work with system architects, hardware designers and software developers to maintain expert understanding of chassis and drive systems
- Develop and execute comprehensive system and sub-system level test specifications and test plans
- Invent methods and build tools to execute tests and evaluate results
- Develop prototype test setups to integrate new subsystems
- Investigate field issues through data analysis and issue reproduction
- Debug issues and propose robust solutions
- Improve safety, performance and customer satisfaction with Tesla products
Requirements For Software Validation Engineer, Chassis & Drive Systems
- Degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems
- Experience with vehicle chassis control and torque production systems
- Experience with vehicle testing, racing and/or at-limit driving
- Experience with CAN and Vector tools
- Experience analyzing and parsing data
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
