Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Software Validation Engineer to join the Vehicle Software organization's Systems Validation Team, focusing on powertrain thermal, heat pump, and HVAC controls. This role is crucial in validating all software-driven, system-level vehicle requirements before new hardware/software releases or product introductions.
As a Systems Validation Engineer, you'll be expected to:
- Be an expert in your domain with a deep understanding of software/hardware dependencies
- Ensure products meet Tesla's high standards for safety and customer experience
- Invent and build infrastructure to increase testing efficiency and precision
- Maintain close relationships with all design cycle members
- Work with various teams to understand thermal systems thoroughly
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans
- Build tools for efficient test execution and result evaluation
- Investigate field issues through data analysis and reproduction
- Debug issues and propose robust solutions
- Continuously improve product safety, performance, and customer satisfaction
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing test specifications and plans

The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong fundamentals in heat-transfer and thermodynamics
- Experience with CAN and Vector tools, Python, C/C++ for embedded systems
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
