Responsibilities For Sr. Electrical Engineer, High Voltage Power Electronics

  • Design, develop, and industrialize high-voltage power converter hardware for automotive and energy applications
  • Take ownership of hardware development from initial specifications to production
  • Capture detailed hardware requirements, build models of power converters, select components, design schematics
  • Design medium-voltage products, such as grid power conditioning systems
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams to design, test, validate, and manufacture power converters
  • Design insulation systems at various levels
  • Use multi-physics design and simulation tools
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to architecture and modeling of power electronics topologies

Requirements For Sr. Electrical Engineer, High Voltage Power Electronics

Linux
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing and industrializing high-voltage power converter products
  • Strong understanding of power converter topologies
  • Familiarity with insulation design and material selection
  • Proficiency in magnetics theory and application
  • Familiar with schematic capture, circuit simulation tools, and PCB layout techniques
  • Proficiency with basic EE tools and test automation programming
  • Experience with high-frequency transformer insulation system design
  • Understanding of safety compliance for grid and battery applications
  • Knowledge of basic control theory and embedded programming
