Tesla's Test Systems Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join their dynamic hardware testing group. This role sits at the intersection of Tesla's core technologies, working across both Vehicle and Energy programs. Responsibilities For Sr. Electronic Design Engineer, Test Systems Engineering
- Work closely with Tesla Product Design teams to develop end-to-end hardware test products
- Architect novel, robust PCBAs and electrical systems with software user interface
- Develop product specifications and break down requirements into detailed execution plan
- Perform bench testing on electrical designs to validate features
- Create high quality schematics and drawing packages and manufacturing instructions
Requirements For Sr. Electronic Design Engineer, Test Systems Engineering
- Degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on PCBA design engineering experience
- Proficiency with electronic design software such as Altium, LTspice
- In depth understanding of communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet, SPI
- Demonstrated depth in end-to-end PCBA design
- Proficiency with basic EE tools
- Mixed Signal and Embedded System Design experience
- Proficiency in embedded (C, C++) and test automation (python) programming
