Responsibilities For Sr. Engineer, Tribology Modeling & EIBD, Drive Systems

  • Build high fidelity EIBD system model connected with in-house electromagnetic models
  • Optimize and innovate EIBD characterization testing equipment and methods
  • Validate and optimize model through tribometer level and drive unit level testing
  • Analyze data and find cost-friendly EIBD mitigation solutions
  • Organize cross-functional teams to tackle system challenges
  • Optimize current system tribology model
  • Apply tribology simulation to assist design projects

Requirements For Sr. Engineer, Tribology Modeling & EIBD, Drive Systems

Python
  • Understanding of tribological simulation and contact mechanics
  • Knowledge of EIBD mechanism in drive units
  • Understanding of bearing failure mechanism
  • Background in electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Experience with data analysis software (MATLAB, Simulink, Python)
  • Experience with instrumentation and tribology laboratory testing
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
