Tesla is at the forefront of robotics innovation, developing humanoid bi-pedal robots (Tesla Bot) to revolutionize manufacturing and logistics automation. As a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer on the Navigation team, you'll be working on cutting-edge deep learning solutions for the Tesla Bot project.
The role presents a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art neural network algorithms, taking them from research through to real-world deployment. You'll be part of a team that owns the entire deep learning stack, from inception to production implementation.
Your work will directly impact the development of visual recognition and perception systems, focusing on crucial tasks such as segmentation, detection, and world representation applications. You'll be working with advanced technologies including convolutional neural networks, multi-task learning, large-scale distributed training, and multi-sensor fusion.
The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $140,000 to $360,000 annually, plus additional cash and stock awards. Responsibilities For Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, Navigation, Tesla Bot
- Train machine learning and deep learning models on computing clusters for visual recognition & perception tasks
- Develop state-of-the-art algorithms in deep learning, object detection/classification, tracking, multi-task learning
- Optimize deep neural networks and associated preprocessing/postprocessing code for embedded devices
Requirements For Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, Navigation, Tesla Bot
- Experience writing production-level Python (including Numpy and Pytorch) and modern C++
- Experience in deep imitation learning or reinforcement learning in realistic applications
- Exposure to robotics learning through tactile and/or vision-based sensors
- Proven track record of training and deploying real world neural networks
- Familiarity with 3D computer vision and/or graphics pipelines
- Experience with distributed deep learning systems
