Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Automation Development
- Create robust machine design concepts and detailed drawing packages for custom machine build projects
- Use mechanical design software for complete mechanical design concepts
- Identify and mitigate risk areas through prototyping
- Complete mechanical design analysis to meet project requirements
- Lead internal and design review meetings
- Create detailed print packages and conduct release to fabrication meetings
- Work with component suppliers for machine commercial components
- Support fabrication, assembly and debug processes
- Lead mechanical debug activities
Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Automation Development
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with design and development of automated machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in Solidworks modeling 3D CAD design software
- Preferred background from automation integrator or machine builder
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Up to 20% travel required
