This role is crucial in creating and implementing robust machine design concepts for custom build projects. As a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading the entire design and build project cycle, from initial concept to final implementation. Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Automation Development

  • Create robust machine design concepts and detailed drawing packages for custom machine build projects
  • Use mechanical design software for complete mechanical design concepts
  • Identify and mitigate risk areas through prototyping
  • Complete mechanical design analysis to meet project requirements
  • Lead internal and design review meetings
  • Create detailed print packages and conduct release to fabrication meetings
  • Work with component suppliers for machine commercial components
  • Support fabrication, assembly and debug processes
  • Lead mechanical debug activities

Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Automation Development

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with design and development of automated machinery
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in Solidworks modeling 3D CAD design software
  • Preferred background from automation integrator or machine builder
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Up to 20% travel required
