Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Geartrain, Drive Systems, Semi

  • Develop concepts for geartrain related components
  • Design and analysis of geartrain components
  • Design, coordinate, and execute system level and component level tests
  • Risk assessment and root cause analysis
  • Provide technical guidance to cross functional teams
  • Work with Suppliers for process improvements
  • Work with experts in Firmware, Design, and Test Engineering
  • Perform CAE analysis for geartrain components
  • 2D and 3D modeling utilizing CAD software
  • Mentor entry-level Engineers and Interns

Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Geartrain, Drive Systems, Semi

  • Experience in rotating machinery design, analysis, tests and failure analysis
  • Understanding of bearings, gears and gearbox lubrication
  • Experience with differentials, actuators, clutches, axle disconnect systems
  • Deep understanding of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Expert in 3D modeling (CATIA preferred)
  • Experience in CAE analysis software
  • Experience launching automotive designs from concept through production
