Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Prototype, New Programs

  • Support vehicle engineers in defining prototype manufacturing strategies
  • Develop designs using CAD and FEA
  • Rapidly design and manufacture limited volume prototypes vehicles
  • Own vehicle subsystems for concept prototype and mule builds
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams from Design, Vehicle Engineering, and Powertrain Engineering

Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Prototype, New Programs

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of rapid prototyping methodologies
  • Capability to use 3D CAD software and run FEA
  • Detail-oriented with effective documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
