Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Test Engineer, High Voltage Power Electronics

  • Perform device, component, system, and vehicle-level validation and reliability testing
  • Design, build, instrument, and automate testing equipment
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify failure modes and generate test plans
  • Analyze, document, and present test results
  • Lead testing efforts for power electronics program
  • Investigate Power Electronics assembly failures
  • Identify and execute experiments targeting new technologies
  • Create novel ways to apply skills learned in the test lab

Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Test Engineer, High Voltage Power Electronics

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of statics, heat transfer, solid mechanics, materials science
  • Experience designing mechanical structures in 3D CAD software
  • Experience with object-oriented coding language and scripting (Python, MATLAB)
  • Experience designing test setups for mechanical and thermal performance testing
  • Basic understanding of linear circuits and electrical test equipment
  • Experience creating and executing design validation plans
