Description For Sr. Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

Tesla's Infrastructure Security Engineering team is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to mature their vulnerability management program. This role is crucial in protecting Tesla's innovative technology infrastructure, including AI platforms, public cloud, and on-premises datacenter infrastructure. You'll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and remediating vulnerabilities across multiple platforms while working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Sr. Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

  • Participate in vulnerability scanning and assessment activities across diverse technology environments
  • Perform root cause analysis of vulnerabilities and work with cross-functional teams
  • Track remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of vulnerabilities
  • Build and operate tools/automation with DevSecOps mentality
  • Automate vulnerability scanning, assessment, and reporting processes
  • Perform malware assessment
  • Collaborate with Security Operations, Detection, and Incident Response teams
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security tools and solutions
  • Perform security reviews, threat modelling, risk assessments

Requirements For Sr. Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience working in a security team
  • Good understanding of vulnerability scanning tools
  • Strong understanding of operating system and infrastructure security
