Description For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Cell NPI

Tesla is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) team for their 4680 cell production. This role is based in Fremont, CA at the Kato facility, a development-heavy site where you'll be responsible for driving product and process changes in battery cell manufacturing. Responsibilities For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Cell NPI

  • Lead product/process changes & support development of manufacturing processes for 4680 cell production
  • Lead team in testing and validating systems, parts, & processes involved in cell production
  • Maintain program roadmaps and lead deep-dive technical challenge forums
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts within existing manufacturing systems
  • Establish/maintain validation standards and develop testing protocols
  • Support design and engineering teams in early development trials/builds
  • Analyze and determine optimal solutions for change coordination
  • Work with stakeholders to refine problem statements and drive informed decisions

Requirements For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Cell NPI

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Project/Program Manager in high-volume manufacturing
  • Experience in New Product Introduction or product/process launches
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with pilot and/or mass production manufacturing
  • Strong engineering skills and proven track record
  • Production Operations Knowledge
  • Understanding of manufacturing validation process
