As a Sr. Technical Program Manager for Vehicle Software Compliance at Tesla, you will be responsible for influencing early-stage regulations by helping regulators understand new technologies and working with the broader vehicle software engineering organization to drive organization-wide strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with global regulators and actively mapping the vehicle software regulatory space
- Owning compliance initiatives end-to-end by working with cross-functional teams
- Leading products through successful regulatory certifications
- Distilling ambiguous regulatory requirements into actionable, scalable product and process requirements
- Supporting development and validation teams in creating product requirements and testing strategies
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering, with experience in product development, regulatory certifications, and managing large-scale technical programs. Knowledge of automotive standards like ISO 21434 and ISO 26262 is a plus.

- Liaison with global regulators, actively map the vehicle software regulatory space

Requirements For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Vehicle Software Compliance
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience working with product teams to build and deliver end-to-end customer focused products
- Understanding of hardware and software development processes
- Demonstrated experience of leading products through regulatory certifications
- Experience in managing and executing large scale technical programs and high-quality product delivery
- Strong investigative and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills, and ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment
