Responsibilities For Sr. Test Engineer, High Voltage Battery Pack Cycling

  • Design, build, instrument, automate, and maintain equipment and software infrastructure for battery pack electrical cycling
  • Investigate test failures to drive product development and test improvement
  • Work with Battery Cell Engineers, Reliability Scientists, Material Scientists, Quality, and process to generate test plans
  • Execute pack-level validation testing and debug pack-level and test equipment issues
  • Analyze, document, and present test results to cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and data visualization tools
  • Manage and prioritize test setups, test articles, and Technician work

Requirements For Sr. Test Engineer, High Voltage Battery Pack Cycling

  • Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with an object-oriented programming (Python, Rust, etc.)
  • Experience building data pipelines, visualizations, and with developer tools
  • Basic understanding of embedded systems, battery cells, statics, measurement and instrumentation, mechanics of materials, and linear circuits
  • Experience with electrical test equipment and machine shop equipment
  • Experience leading and driving technical projects to completion
  • Ability to develop infrastructure for high power battery applications or high voltage systems
  • Experience with automotive systems, mechatronic systems, or physical testing
