Responsibilities For Sr. Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, Tires

  • Work within the Vehicle Dynamics team to ensure correct integration of all tire variants
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for all objective tire metrics
  • Define attribute tire targets both subjective and objective
  • Perform/Assist with vehicle instrumentation and setup prior to each test
  • Perform in vehicle objective maneuvers both human and robot driven
  • Perform subjective assessments using the SAE subjective scale
  • Work with technical project managers to prioritize testing
  • Perform routine tire quality checks for industrialized tires

Requirements For Sr. Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, Tires

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive development
  • Subjective vehicle performance evaluation experience
  • Vehicle instrumentation and data analysis skills
  • Objective handling characterization expertise
  • Knowledge of common calibration tools such as Vector Canape
  • Proficiency with Matlab
  • Ability to travel for onsite proving ground activities
