Responsibilities For Staff Linux Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineering
- Design and develop services for Linux-based compute infrastructure services
- Develop and maintain system configurations, base images, and deployment strategies
- Implement and integrate monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery services
- Create and enforce policies for Linux system administration, security, and compliance
- Lead projects related to Linux infrastructure, including upgrades and migrations
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security through monitoring and optimization
- Implement security standards and practices
- Maintain documentation for system configurations and policies
- Work with engineering, operations, and security teams
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support
Requirements For Staff Linux Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Expertise in base image creation, system configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Cloud init)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Deep understanding of security standards and compliance requirements
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
