Responsibilities For Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, Electronic Accessories

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define product requirements
  • Participate in prototype builds, testing and validation
  • Develop designs in CAD for parts and assemblies
  • Perform tolerance analysis and Finite Element Analysis
  • Create 2D drawings for production and inspection
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing reviews with suppliers
  • Optimize components for performance, size, mass, and assembly
  • Support engineering and reliability test plans

Requirements For Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, Electronic Accessories

Python
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molded, sheet metal stamping and cast parts design
  • Experience in drafting 2D drawings with GD&T
  • Experience in MATLAB, Python, or other modeling tools
  • Proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis
  • Experience with FEA, ANSYS preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience taking designs from initial concept through mass production
