Description For Staff RF Desense Engineer

Tesla, a pioneer in electric vehicles and sustainable energy, is seeking a Staff RF Desense Engineer to join their Wireless Hardware team in Palo Alto. This role is crucial for developing next-generation wireless radio solutions across Tesla's vehicle fleet and Robot initiatives. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, including Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, and GNSS systems.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in RF/Microwave circuit design and multi-radio coexistence, with at least 5 years of experience in RF circuits design. You'll be responsible for designing cellular RF hardware boards, optimizing RF performance, and contributing to vehicle-level systems engineering. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities For Staff RF Desense Engineer

  • Contribute to architecture and product level design integration of wireless radio solutions
  • Design Cellular RF hardware board including impedance matching, layout review, and prototype bring-up
  • Define RF Hardware requirements and implement factory tests
  • Work with RF module/components suppliers for performance optimization
  • Contribute to vehicle-level systems engineering and architecture

Requirements For Staff RF Desense Engineer

  • Strong RF/Microwave circuit design background
  • Experience with Wireless RF board/IC development and Multi-Radio Co-existence
  • Hands-on experience in prototype debugging and manufacturing support
  • Minimum 5 years RF circuits design experience in LTE, UMTS, WiFi/BT, GPS
  • Knowledge of environmental constraints and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with firmware, QA and Manufacturing teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
