Tesla's Cell Equipment team is seeking a Staff Systems Integration and Software Engineer to lead the development of high-performance firmware and ultra-reliable equipment for cell manufacturing processes. This role combines embedded systems development with manufacturing expertise, focusing on cell formation and qualification processes. Responsibilities For Staff Systems Integration & Software Engineer, Cell Manufacturing

  • Outline controller requirements based on system performance specifications
  • Evaluate new manufacturing processes for controllability and fit to system needs
  • Work cross organizationally to make design decisions on controller architecture
  • Translate algorithms into software implementation
  • Own firmware through life cycle from prototype to high-volume production
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementation
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Prototype embedded software to evaluate concepts
  • Develop scripts to analyze fleet performance
  • Solve hard, undefined problems with limited direction
