Responsibilities For Staff Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, Handling
- Work with Vehicle Dynamics team for hardware and software controls integration
- Work with firmware team to set requirements for high-level control strategies
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Handling
- Perform drive assessments and firmware tuning
- Define handling metrics and objective maneuvers
- Contribute to control strategies development
- Contribute to the HMI Roadmap
- Generate development reports and complete performance Sign-Off
- Manage a small team of engineers
Requirements For Staff Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, Handling
- 10+ years of experience in automotive development
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Physics or equivalent experience
- Direct calibration experience in Traction Control, VDC, ABS, Brake Steer, and other systems
- Good understanding of model-based control
- Subjective vehicle performance evaluation skills
- Vehicle instrumentation and data analysis experience
- Very good knowledge of common calibration tools such as Vector Canape
- Proficiency with Simulink, Python, C and similar firmware environment is a plus
