Responsibilities For Steering Systems Integration Engineer, Chassis Controls

  • Work with design and development engineers to ensure systems meet vehicle function requirements
  • Develop overall validation strategy and ensure test coverage and traceability
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, system architecture, and firmware teams
  • Develop and execute firmware integration test plans
  • Work with manufacturing and service for proper function rollout
  • Design prototype test setups for subsystem integration
  • Lead functional safety analysis of complex software systems
  • Develop safety concepts and lead HARA, DFMEAs

Requirements For Steering Systems Integration Engineer, Chassis Controls

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with systems involving multiple networked microprocessors and smart electro-mechanical actuators
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading through influence
  • Experience with analyzing data to develop technical insights
  • Ability to multi-task and context switch between projects
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics
  • Experience with C and Python preferred
  • Experience with vehicle systems and chassis controls preferred
  • Experience with CAN and Vector tools preferred
  • Experience with DFMEAs, HARAs, ISO 26262 development preferred
